This section is dedicated to the transformation from a small farm community to a oilfield mecca which was basically an overnight boom. Excitement at the wide place in the road called Van, Texas. In October 1929 after the "Discovery Well" Jarman 37 #1 was drilled.

Today we have many artifacts, photos and even a turn of the century log cabin at the Van Area Oil Museum, come by and visit some time!
